Boeing delivered just 28 aircraft in February, representing a big slowdown from the 38 planes delivered in January.

The number of new orders also dropped. There were 37 orders in February compared to 55 in January.

New orders comprised 32 737 Max and five 777 Freighters, as demand for air cargo continues to heat up after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Demand for new commercial planes remains unstable, as airlines are cautiously weighing the timing of receipts amid uncertainties caused by the global economy. Furthermore, Boeing, like all major manufacturers, faces a supply chain problem.

Of the 28 planes delivered last month, 24 were from the 737 MAX Family. Deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner have been paused for most of the time since fall 2020 as the company races to resolve manufacturing issues.

In addition, 1 787 Dreamliner was delivered, 1 777F and the last 747-8F. This was a historic moment for the manufacturer, as deliveries of the Boeing 747 took place over 55 years.

Air India's large order for 210 Boeing jets is expected to show up in March statistics.
