Deliveries of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner had been halted on February 23 after problems with the fuselage were found, but the company received approval for them to return. Lufthansa has just taken delivery of its 787-9 Dreamliner variant jet.
The plane is the 4th aircraft of its kind in the Lufthansa fleet. However, there is still an order for 28 more, making a total of 32 787 Dreamliners, when the airline receives them all.
In addition, the Lufthansa Group has orders for more than 100 widebody aircraft. At the beginning of this month alone, the company announced 22 more, 15 Airbus A350 and 7 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Boeing's Widebody has already racked up nearly 200 new orders in the last four months alone. Last week, Saudia and Riyadh Air placed a firm order for 78 planes, which could reach more than 120 units if all options are met.
Boeing's estimate is that there will be 70-80 deliveries of the model this year.
