Boeing released its results for the month of March 2023 yesterday, making it possible to have an accumulated view of the first three months of the year.
64 aircraft were delivered in March, 36% more than the same period last year. In all, 130 new aircraft were delivered, representing a strong increase of 27% in relation to the same period of the previous year.
In addition, the American company registered 38 net orders for new aircraft in the period, with 60 gross orders and 22 cancellations.
The American manufacturer overtook its European rival in deliveries. There were 3 more planes in the period (130 deliveries against 127 from Airbus).
The two companies, however, are facing supply chain issues, so their numbers are being lower than they could be. However, the two companies are increasing the pace of production of their aircraft, especially narrowbodies, which are their best-selling products.
Boeing faced problems with the 787 Dreamliner, which had its deliveries paralyzed by problems with the fuselage in January, but returned in March, with 7 planes delivered.
The 767 also faced problems with the fuel tank and had its deliveries stopped for three months, but it can now be delivered, with a delivery registered as early as March.
