As already reported here, the Boeing 737 MAX suffers from its deliveries being paralyzed because of a problem that was found with the parts that attach the vertical stabilizer to the rest of the plane's fuselage.
Boeing is still evaluating the issue, but Ryanair already has plans taking into account the delays. The manufacturer and the airline are assessing the size of the impact caused by the delay of the plane, which should affect the delivery schedule of the 24 new jets that were scheduled to be delivered between the end of April and the end of June.
However, Boeing says this is not a safety issue, so the low-cost airline's current fleet of around 530 Boeing 737 aircraft should not be affected.
In addition, the company's goal of transporting 185 million passengers, however, will not be affected. Ryanair has achieved impressive numbers in terms of passengers transported.
United Airlines said it does not expect any significant impact at this time on its plans for this summer or the rest of the year.
