Anac releases public notice for 22 major airports

ANAC is releasing a large public notice for 22 important airports to be made available for the private initiative in 2021.
The 22 airports are divided into 3 major regional blocks:
Bloco Sul, Curitiba, Foz do Iguaçu, Navegantes, Londrina, Joinville, Bacacheri, Pelotas, Uruguaiana and Bagé
Central Block, Goiânia, São Luiz, Teresina, Palmas, Petrolina and Imperatriz
Bloco Norte, Manaus, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, Cruzeiro do Sul, Tabatinga, Tefé and Boa Vista
The announcement takes several measures to increase the number of potential interested parties in the bidding process. It will no longer be necessary that there are airport operating companies in the candidates' capital stock. In this way, the concessionaire can simply subcontract companies that demonstrate qualification for the operation of airports.
After the publication of the public notice by ANAC, it will still have to go through TCU approvals and then go through new approval / votes at ANAC itself.
