Aeromexico, the largest airline in that country, has a fleet of 73 different aircraft, with models such as the 787 Dreamliner, 737 NG and Embraer models.

But like all airlines in the world, it suffered a very strong impact with the Covid-19 crisis, Mexico being one of the countries that, at the time of publication of this article. most suffer from the accelerated spread of the disease.

With all this unfavorable scenario, the company is carrying out a fleet reduction plan. The total number of aircraft whose leasing contracts will be terminated is 23 jets.

The returns will be on models 737-700 (five units), 737-800 (five units), nine Embraer 170 and four Embraer 190.

The company recently filed for bankruptcy and its creditors, affected by the measure, are having to renegotiate their contracts and debts which are expected to be affected by the company's legal and economic conditions.

Aeroméxico has been mentioned for some time now and there on pages of publications specialized in economics. Now with Covid-19, of course, the situation has only worsened.
