Air France - KLM
Group expects more than 6000 layoffs by 2022
José Pedro M Ramos
7/6/2020
The conglomerate Air France - KLM, considers that the loans negotiated with the government of France and Holland will have no scope to save the company from the consequences of the crisis in the long term.
As a result, unfortunately, it will be necessary to cut up to 6500 jobs by the end of the year 2022.
As a mitigation for this labor disaster, the company informs that many of the cuts will come from naturally occurring layoffs, such as those resulting from pensions.
It is expected that around 3550 disconnections will occur in this way.
With a drop of more than ninety percent of turnover, the company does not see a return to pre-crisis activity levels before 2023 or 2024.
