Airbus, the European aerospace giant, is delivering new planes to Hamburg as part of its growing activities involving sustainable fuels.

In this case, two brand new A-321LR models were delivered to the Canadian company Air Transat.

Air Transat is a Canadian charter operator, the protagonist of one of the most incredible episodes of modern aviation when on August 24, 2001 an A-330 of the company ran out of fuel in the middle of the Atlantic when operating a flight from Toronto to Lisbon. With unbelievable expertise the crew managed to land the ship in the Azores, with no fatal victims, but with medium damage to the aircraft.

Air Transat has been an Airbus partner in sustainability initiatives and the two ships now delivered will have their carbon neutral delivery flights due to the carbon credits initiatives of the two partners.
