ZeroAvia intends to convert two Dornier 228 aircraft to use hydrogen

ZeroAvia, a developer of hydrogen-powered aircraft, announced yesterday, 29, that it intends to convert two 19-seat Dornier 228 twin-engine aircraft for use with hydrogen fuel, continuing its zero-emissions goal. One of the aircraft will be used in the United Kingdom and the other in the United States.
The move is part of the HyFlyer II program, the second project led by ZeroAvia, and supported by the UK government, aimed at developing a hydrogen fuel cell.
On HyFlyer I, the company successfully demonstrated, in three flight test campaigns, a 250 kW engine in a six-seater airplane, and all technical objectives of the project were achieved, including a cruise flight with only the fuel cell.
