EVA Air, Taiwan's international airline, plans to renew and modernize its fleet, with both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. The company expects to receive 33 Airbus jets divided into 15 A350-1000 widebodies and 18 A321neos narrowbodies.

Currently, the company's fleet is divided between Airbus planes and Boeing planes. However, its narrow-body fleet is made up of A321-200 aircraft only.

Airbus has not revealed the list price of its aircraft since 2018. Furthermore, the order revealed today does not specify the A321neo model chosen by the airline, but considering that it will not exceed US$150 million per unit, and the A350-1000 will not exceed US$436 million per unit, the order value is estimated at US$10 billion.

The A350-1000 should be used to replace part of the B777-300ER. The aircraft will complement the current fleet of 787 Dreamliners on long-haul flights to destinations in Europe, North America and Asia.
