On the 30th, COMAC, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, delivered its first ARJ21CCF jets to YTO Cargo Airlines and Air Central. The ARJ21CCF is a converted passenger-to-cargo version of the COMAC jet. The acronym CCF stands for COMAC Converted Freighter.
The two aircraft are very young, with registration B-3329 having been in service for five and a half years and B-3388 having been in service for less than six years.
The aircraft were converted by Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company (GAMECO).
The passenger transport plane modification project for freighters officially received airworthiness approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in January this year.
The freighter's range is around 2800 km, with a maximum payload of 10 tons. The aircraft will primarily be used to transport mail items and express shipments on short-haul domestic and international routes.
