The Russian Su-57 fighter, because it has a number of advantages over American fighters, such as its technical equipment and its cost-effectiveness, ruined the US dominance in the fifth generation fighter industry and became a great threat to Americans, says an article published on the Chinese portal Sina.
According to the article, the US Navy in June introduced three F/A-18E/F Super Hornets in the VFC-12 fighter unit to simulate the most advanced Russian fighters.
The VFC-12 is one of the four professional “simulated adversary” units of the US Navy used in training, that is, it works by “copying” enemies and their strategies.
The article says that the US military leadership has shown great concern, as it is the first time that Washington has paid so much attention to a fifth-generation fighter coming from another country.
Several countries have already expressed interest in acquiring the Russian fighter, such as Turkey, India and other countries in Southeast Asia.
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation fighter, capable of carrying out attacks against air, land and naval targets. It also stands out for its low visibility, thanks to the use of stealth technology, in addition to its high maneuverability and modern avionics.
