Yesterday (25), Boeing officially launched the F-15QA fighter jet in collaboration with the United States Air Force and the Qatar Air Force. Lieutenant General Greg Guillot, commander of the 9th Air Force, commented, “The launch of the F-15QA is important, not just in terms of capability, but also in terms of the enhanced partnership it represents. The relationship the United States shares with Qatar is critical to the stability and security of the central command's area of ""responsibility, and we are grateful for our coalition partner's continued focus on building interoperability and joint readiness. It is a privilege and an honor to be with our colleagues in Qatar today and every day.”

The first fighters of the model will be delivered to Qatar by the end of this year, after the completion of pilot training.

Prat Kumar, vice president of the F-15 program, said: “The Qatar F-15QA program has further enhanced next-generation technologies in the advanced F-15, such as fly-by-wire flight controls, a fully digital cabin in contemporary glass and sensors, radar and electronic warfare capability. Driven by digital engineering and advanced manufacturing, these aircraft represent a transformational leap for the F-15. The F-15QA will enhance the superiority of the QEAF with more speed, range and payload than any fighter in the world.”

Pilot training began earlier this year, and during this period, Boeing has provided logistical and maintenance support to the Qatar Air Force. In addition, by 2024 the manufacturer will also have created a crew and maintenance training center for the Qatar Air Force at Al Udeid air base. Once the aircraft are delivered, Boeing will offer spare parts and logistical support in the country.

“Boeing is proud to provide a holistic solution to our valued Qatar customer through tailored training and support,” said Torbjorn “Turbo” Sjogren, Boeing Vice President of International Government and Defense. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with Qatar and further supporting their mission readiness needs."
