Eve Urban Air Mobility is developing, in a team it leads, a new concept of operations for the future of Urban Air Mobility. Teamwork is developed alongside regulatory bodies and government entities, such as the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) and the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA). The start of work will be in Rio de Janeiro.
The concessionaire of the Tom Jobim International Airport, RIOgaleão; Universal Aviation, one of the largest airport support companies, and Abag (Brazilian Association of General Aviation) are also involved in the work aimed at developing the concept of Urban Air Mobility in a safe manner in Brazil through studies aimed at acquisition knowledge that will be converted into documents with data and analysis about operational aspects.
“We want to explore new and practical concepts to facilitate the safe introduction of the urban air mobility industry in Brazil. In this initial stage, we will describe the main characteristics and requirements of the ecosystem, from the perspective of the users, partners, entities and government agencies involved. Based on the evolution of the concept, we will design a description of how to make viable the purpose of democratizing urban air mobility in a safe, economical and accessible way”, said Eve's CEO, André Stein
Other Eve partners include Helisul Aviação, one of the largest helicopter operators in Latin America; Skyports, a company specializing in the operation of vertiports; Flapper, an on-demand executive flight platform; EDP, a company in the energy sector, Atech, responsible for the development, implementation and support of air traffic flow control and management systems (civil and military), of the Embraer Group and Beacon, EmbraerX platform that connects the ecosystem of services aeronautical maintenance work to make Urban Air Mobility operations possible.
The first test will take place using conventional helicopters to simulate eVTOL by the end of this year.
