A Beechcraft B250GT King Air was heading to Pará with seven people on board. Shortly after taking off at Piracicaba airport (interior of SP), the plane crashed. The accident happened on Tuesday (14).
Firefighters came to speak of 4 fatalities, but soon updated the information with 7 fatalities. In addition to the pilot, Celso Elias Carloni, and co-pilot Giovani Dedini Gulo, there were passengers Celso Silveira Mello Filho, a partner at Raízen, which controls the Shell brand in Brazil, his wife, Maria Luiza Meneghel and the couple's three children.
The causes of the accident have not yet been fully clarified, however, this plane has a very reliable engine and hardly fails if properly maintained.
According to data from Anac, the plane was manufactured in 2019, was operated by CSM Agropecuária and was in normal airworthiness, but was not authorized to carry out charter air transport.
