This Friday, October 1st, Embraer announced that its agricultural aviation division had registered, until the end of September, a 100% increase in sales of the Ipanema EMB-203 aircraft in relation to the total sold last year. 50 units of the aircraft were sold.

The company claims that this positive result is a consequence of the intensification of agribusiness in Brazil and also the bet of producers and aeroagricultural companies in anticipating the demand of 2022, which already represents 30% of new orders.

Embraer also states that the success of this model in modern agriculture is due to the combination of high technology and tradition of an aircraft that is developed to meet the requirements of high productivity and low operating cost when compared to other types of sprayers.

In addition, the manufacturer informed that the 100th model 203 aircraft were delivered in September, the current version of the Ipanema family, which is, according to Embraer, the market leader in the aerial spraying segment, with 60 % of national participation and almost 1,500 units delivered.

The Ipanema is powered by ethanol, which made it the first Embraer aircraft certified and produced in series to fly with renewable energy.
