Nigerian airline Air Peace is interested in acquiring more Embraer E195-E2 jets in its fleet. The company had already increased its confirmed purchase order from 10 aircraft of the model to 13. However, the company maintained 17 units with purchase options, so the total would be 30 units.
Allen Onyema, the airline's president, will carry out all purchase options, confirming another 17 jets of the model for the company. Today, the deal is valued at 1.7 billion reais.
The Embraer E195-E2 has been widely praised locally, both for its lower environmental impact and for its efficiency and practicality, in addition to its low maintenance cost. These factors make the aircraft's operating cost lower.
“The E195-E2 is the perfect aircraft to expand our operations in Africa and this order is part of our project to cover as many cities as possible, which we will continue to include in the network,” said Air Peace President and CEO Allen Onyema, at the time of ordering.
