Yesterday, November 15th, during the 2021 Dubai Air Show, which began last Sunday, the 14th, Embraer announced an agreement for up to 6 E175 jets, 3 of which being firm sales and 3 more purchase rights. The agreement provides that the aircraft must begin to be delivered in 2023, with a contract value of up to 299.4 million dollars, counting all the purchase rights exercised.

Overland Airways, which is a Nigerian airline, is committed to post-pandemic recovery and which, according to President and CEO Edward Boyo, will use the aircraft to expand its domestic routes. Embraer jets are very popular in the region.

The demand for domestic air travel is recovering gradually and faster than the international one, which is why regional aircraft have been quite prominent in this scenario.
