During today's Singapore Airshow, Embraer's Eve and Microflite announced an agreement for an initial order of up to 40 eVTOLs, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2026.
The partnership aims to bring the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem to Melbourne. As Microflite is one of Australia's leading helicopter operators, the companies plan to start the partnership by flying helicopters as a way to validate parameters that will be safely used later with eVTOL.
“This order builds on the successful partnership we have established with Eve and validates the exciting potential of zero-emission aircraft in Australia. After working closely with Eve over the past few months, we have identified a potential route network and look forward to working with business partners and communities to prioritize these routes and test selected operations with our existing fleet,” said Jonathan Booth, CEO of Microflite.
“Our partnership with Microflite will see the progressive start of carbon neutral operations in preparation for the first zero-emission aircraft deliveries in 2026. We look forward to learning together and building safe, well-scaled operations with the support of local communities,” said André Stein , co-CEO of Eve.
The Singapore Airshow is paying off for Eve and her zero-emission urban mobility vehicle, which has already racked up 90 orders today.
