According to sources reported by the Russian state agency TASS, the construction of the first fuselage with completely national components of the Sukhoi Superjet New is completed.
The Sukhoi Superjet New is a modification of the Sujkhoi superjet 100 that does not have Western parts. The plane project began when Russia found itself fighting sanctions.
In this way, Russia hopes to ensure the maintenance and safety of the aircraft.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Commerce expects the plane to be built with domestic components by the end of the year 2023.
Now, the component will be taken to Zhukovsky airfield, where it must undergo resistance tests at a specialized aviation institute.
