Egypt Air takes delivery of its first Airbus A321neo; delivery flight is operated with 34% SAF

Egypt Air took delivery of its first A321neo. The new plane in the fleet left Hamburg, Germany, on February 27 for the destination where it will be operated, in Egypt, Cairo International Airport.

The company, which is the first operator of its kind in Africa, is yet to receive another six A321neo. The aircraft will be used on routes in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The plane is configured in two classes: executive, with 16 seats, and economy, with 166 seats.

The aircraft is the result of a lease agreement with Aercap and made its delivery flight operated with a mixture of 34% SAF, of which the Airbus A321neo is certified to use in a proportion of up to 50%.
