The Australian company Alliance Airlines will acquire 30 Embraer E190 jets from the leasing company Aercap. The announcement was made by the company on Sunday (02/26), It is known that, currently, the aircraft are operating by an airline in the USA, and it is speculated that they operate by JetBlue.

JetBlue had already announced that it would remove all Embraer planes from its fleet by mid-2025. The planes will undergo a revitalization before being operated and will receive Australian certification.

The aircraft will be delivered gradually between September of this year and January 2026. Furthermore, the exact cost of these aircraft is not known, as it will be determined by the maintenance conditions of the aircraft. As such, the total price of the deal is subject to fluctuations and has yet to be confirmed.

The company must, therefore, dismantle some aircraft so that their components can be used to maintain a stock for the rest of the Embraer fleet.

The news comes just a few days after Qantas announced that it will increase its fleet in the coming years, including more Embraer planes through its partnership with Alliance.

The company expects to own 63 E190 and 37 Fokker 70 and 100 jets, totaling 100 aircraft by 2026.
