Microsoft announced yesterday (02/27) the addition of the Antonov An-225 to its Flight Simulator. The legend of six engines is already available for the PC version and will be available to Xbox players in March through a DLC (Downloadable Content).
The plane will be paid content and the proceeds will go towards efforts to rebuild the Ukrainian aircraft. It is estimated that the total amount needed could exceed 1 billion dollars, since, in addition to the components, the entire assembly line would have to be redone.
The cost of new content for the simulator is US$19.99, around R$106.00 at current prices.
The plane was considered for almost 40 years as the largest and heaviest in the world, but unfortunately, it was destroyed during the war between Russia and Ukraine on February 27, 2022 at its base in Kiev, Ukraine. This was the only existing aircraft of its type.
The plane was very well reproduced in terms of visuals and technical details. Furthermore, the simulation must faithfully reproduce the real flight.
