In a feat never seen before, Brazil will have a direct connection with Egypt. Egypt Air intends to launch a flight between the capital of Egypt, Cairo, and the city of São Paulo (Brazil) starting in September 2023, according to the company itself.
Nowadays, passengers who want to go to Egypt need to make connections with other countries in Africa, Europe and the Middle East, on flights of up to 19 hours.
The duration of the direct connection will be 13 hours aboard a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner divided into two classes: 279 seats in economy class and 21 in business class.
Before the covid-19 pandemic, the airline had expansion plans in Brazil, but these were suspended.
According to information from Embratur (Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion), EgyptAir will operate direct flights from Guarulhos International Airport. Tickets are already being sold.
