Iraqi Airway receives 3 Boeing 737 MAX 8

In a year of great growth for the carrier from Iraq. On the last 24th, the company received 3 Boeing 737 MAX 8. These planes are part of orders for new aircraft to modernize the fleet. The first Boeing 737 MAX 8 arrived at the end of last month.
The planes that arrived are: • YI-ASX (MSN 65406/8538) • YI-ASN (MSN 65410/8529) • YI-ASM (MSN 65409/8516) Two more are expected, in addition to these fuselages that have already arrived.
The jets came from Boeing's facilities in Seattle (Boeing Field) and flew to Baghdad's international airport. However, as the distance is great, it was necessary to make a stop at Keflavik Airport, in Iceland.
The airline is expanding and modernizing its fleet with the latest generation aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. The first two Airbus A220-300s arrived at the end of 2021, while the third in December 2022 and the 4th in January 2023.
The company's first 787 Dreamliner was seen at Boeing facilities in March, but has not yet been delivered. In all, the company expects nine 787-8 and one 787-9
