The Boeing 737 MAX 8 orders placed by the Russian company S7 will be repainted with the colors of Qatar Airways, which will be the new operator of the planes. The narrowbodies were not delivered to the Russian company because of sanctions against Russia at the start of the war with Ukraine.

There will be at least 9 jets redirected to Qatar Airways. The jets are the result of a leasing agreement made by S7 with the Air Lease Corporation in 2012, with the first arriving in 2018.
