Brazilian airline Gol and Angolan airline TAAG signed a codeshare agreement that allows both companies to benefit from more destinations and more connectivity between South America, Africa and Europe.
Each airline will incorporate the other's destinations, so passengers will be able to combine flights on a single ticket.
“Building this alliance with TAAG is expanding the alternative destinations for GOL customers to dozens of African cities, offering the opportunity to discover a continent so rich in natural beauty. Our customers will be able to leave most of our bases and, from Guarulhos, head to Luanda, the capital of a country with so many similarities to Brazil and, at the same time, very rich in its own culture”, said Eduardo Bernardes, Vice-President President of Revenue at GOL.
In addition to facilitating the purchase of tickets for Gol passengers who want to travel to TAAG destinations and vice versa, the codeshare agreement guarantees protection on connecting flights, greater ease in flight reservation, check-in and single baggage dispatch. for connecting trips.
“It is with great enthusiasm that TAAG celebrates this partnership with GOL that will leverage tourism and the economy of our countries and reinforce the connection between Latin America, Africa and Europe through the transatlantic connection between Brazil (São Paulo) and Angola ( Luanda). Private customers, families and the corporate segment will benefit from more destinations and greater flexibility in their intercontinental travel”, said Eduardo Fairen, President of the Executive Committee of TAAG.
