Qatar Airways received its first Airbus plane since December 2020. The company spent that time without receiving a new Airbus plane because of a long legal dispute over the painting of the company's A350, which was prematurely degraded.
The first plane marks the restart of the relationship between the companies. The new jet was received on May 12 and is an A350-1000 (MSN 430), being the twentieth aircraft of the model in the company's fleet.
The delivery takes place three months after the agreement for the end of the legal dispute between the companies. At the time, some units of the A350 had to have their operation suspended.
In the agreement, which is confidential, it was mentioned that the companies would work together as partners to get the planes safely back in the air.
