During the health crisis of the covid-19 pandemic, naturally, Embraer substantially reduced its aircraft production and delivery numbers. However, with the end of the emergency, the Brazilian manufacturer has plans to return with good numbers.

The demand for air travel is increasing more and more, and along with it there is a great demand for single-aisle airplanes. However, the last time Embraer delivered more than 100 commercial jets in a year was in 2017.

In 2022, 57 commercial aircraft were delivered, and there are plans for more than 70 deliveries this year. According to the executive president of Embraer Commercial Aviation, Arjan Meijer, by 2026 the number could be greater than 100.

Embraer's strongest market is for domestic jets in the United States. Meijer said that sales should return to good levels there with the resolution of problems such as the shortage of pilots and the adequacy of the supply chain. Furthermore, orders for the first-generation E175 are expected to grow in the US.

Embraer's latest generation jet family, the E2 series aircraft, may also find a market with great potential in China. “We believe they [E2 jets] could coexist perfectly and complement Chinese products.”
