Atlas Air takes delivery of its second Boeing 777-200F

The cargo airline, Atlas Air, announced today that it has taken delivery of its second Boeing 777-200F, a cargo version of Boeing's famous widebody, which maintains the same flight characteristics as the passenger version.
The airline will be responsible for operating the aircraft under the terms of the ACMI-type leasing contract (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) that it entered into with the customer MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company).
Signed in 2022, the long-term lease includes four Boeing 777-200Fs, which will operate globally for the maritime giant. One of the planes has already been delivered.
"We are delighted to take this second 777 delivery as part of our long-term strategic partnership. We expect our remaining two 777s to be delivered in the fourth quarter," said Michael Steen, CEO of Atlas Air Worldwide.
The planes are expected to complement MSC's container transport solutions, expanding service to key commercial routes across multiple industries.
