Despite being busy with the conflict in Ukraine and Western sanctions, Russia, according to the TASS agency, reported that a set of state-of-the-art communication tools was installed on the Sukhoi Su-57 fighter.
“The Ruselectronics holding company of Rostec State Corporation has developed a suite of digital communication tools on board using artificial intelligence technologies. Initially, the equipment was designed for fifth-generation aircraft,” it reads.
"The Su-57 advanced fighter's communication package was developed by Ruselectronics' Polyot NPP Company and was implemented onboard the aircraft."
This significant upgrade is expected to substantially improve the transmission quality of critical information during your operations.
The new communication package can also be used on other aircraft, including those of previous generations. The package operates in the HF and VHF frequency bands.
With its noise-resistant coding and interleaving of characters in messages, the equipment guarantees robust and reliable information transmission. Furthermore, unified time synchronization during signal processing allows simultaneous transmission of messages over parallel channels, substantially improving the range of stable communication.
Russia has made several efforts to further improve the Su-57 in recent months.
In April 2023, Rostec, a state-owned company in Russia, announced the development of an artificial intelligence communication system designed specifically for the Su-57.
This system aims to increase the efficiency of information exchange between aircraft and ground complexes.
